Docex provides a hosted document extraction API. You upload files via our API or CLI; we return structured data extracted by frontier vision and OCR models.
You sign in with GitHub. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. Do not share keys across untrusted environments.
Docex operates on a prepaid wallet model. You top up via Stripe. Usage is deducted at 2× upstream provider cost. There are no refunds for consumed extractions. Unused wallet balance remains available for future use.
Do not use the service to process illegal content, malware, or material that violates third-party rights. Do not abuse the API or attempt to circumvent rate limits.
Uploaded files are stored in object storage (R2) for the duration required to complete extraction and are retained for a limited debugging window. We do not train models on your data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
The service is provided as-is. Extraction accuracy depends on model capabilities and input quality. Docex is not liable for downstream decisions made using extracted data. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount in your wallet at the time of the incident.
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
